With this unit you can control Speed Domes and Zoom Cameras from you DVR Software and ultimately across the internet,
Connect into your 9 pin PC's Serial Port, usually " COM1" this unit then converts the RS242 output to RS485, there are no drivers to install just set your DVR PTZ panel settings to match whatever Camera you connect.
Connection from Adapter to Camera is via 1 x twisted pair from standard CAT5e Cable.
When a Speed Dome is used on a PC based DVR an RS485 controller is required to give control, simply plug into the Serial Port in the PC and run CAT5e using one of the twisted pairs from the adapter to the Speed Dome, multiple domes can be run from this unit with a maximum distance of 1.2Km.
This unit also runs standard Zoom cameras from the PC such as our model CAM30-9 E/Z
