Sony Based 27x Optical Zoom Colour Camera with RS485 control & On Screen Set up,  this unit auto-focuses automatically and quickly as you zoom it or as the subject moves.

You can set it up manually by using the buttons on the rear of the Camera where it will still auto focus, or you can control this from a PC you will need a DVR card and our RS485 adapter for a PC.

A lock system on the On Screen Setup has been added, set "Lock" to on and the Camera remembers the Zoom position and Focus settings you have set up and then returns to them after a shut down or power cut.

All our DVR's have the controller embedded to operate the zoom via Cat5e cable with no extra hardware to buy, if you are not sure if your DVR can control it check for RS-485 A & B connections on the rear and that your menu shows PTZ with protocols Pelco-D either 2400 or 9600 Baudrate, if yes it will work, if you have a PC you need to purchase our RS-485 adapter, PC software usually has PTZ setup and all the software protocols included.

This camera has been used by the Police in their safety vans for Number Plate Recognition and has shots of drivers with a mobile phone to their ear.

This Camera can be controlled by any DVR or PC or controller with Pelco-D 2400 protocols.

You can set it up from the buttons at the rear of the Camera then Lock the settings so if the power fails the Camera will return to its previous settings.

note it cannot be controlled by our: PT-IR-Controller, we believe this to be the only device that cannot Zoom it, and understand that it is due to a Copyright issue.

This is a unique Camera which can be zoomed from a DVR, PC or keyboard controller, or simply set it up manually using the OSD and it will still auto-focus as things move, a "Lock" option retains how you set it , always returns to your setting after a power cut.  

This is great for number plates etc, number plates are easily readable in daylight on fast traffic at approx 65 Metres also at this distance facial recognition is easier. This camera really comes into its own when the lens is zoomed.

You can fix this camera and look down the length of the shop and get a close shot of the Till and see what goes in and out of the Tray, this way and it is not in your customers or Staff members face.. or mount closer to the Till and read the notes that go in and out. Electronics are Sony 1/4" Super HAD 650 TVL fitted with a 3.9mm to 105.3 mm Optical Japan lens with a View angle of approx 50 degrees to 2.5 degrees when zoomed, there is a fast Autofocus and IRIS plus Shutter, AWB, BLC & AGC can be easily setup using the standard On Screen Display (OSD) .

Protocols and Baud rate can be setup to match the DVR or PC-DVR so control can be carried out over CAT5e using RS485 and will work as Power over Ethernet using our Baluns Stock Code BALUN/POE where the Audio line is used for control , images can then be zoomed with a Mouse or Remote Control, our DVR cards have full support for this Camera

Unit comes with an internal fixing bracket but requires a housing if it is to be used outside, (our product code: HOUSING1), Sensor is day/night down to about 0.1 Lux.
